The deadline for abstract submission had been October, 31st 2011. We received 185 abstracts eligible for review. The review process has been finished, authors already received all relevant information about the acceptance/rejection and the form of presentation (oral or poster) individually per e-mail.

Authors elected for oral presentations are bound to send a manuscript to be published in Acta Horticulturae.  Strict deadline of manuscript submission of oral presentations: February 1st, 2012 (strict).

Authors elected for poster presentations are invited to write a full paper to be published in Acta Horticulturae. Strict deadline of manuscript submission of poster presentations: February 1st, 2012.
The poster presentations will be treated equally as important as the oral presentations. During the symposium we will organise scheduled visits of posters within groups of participants. Poster authors will present their poster within the given schedule, discussion will take place within the group of participants.

Please submit your full paper via the ISHS online system taking the following steps:
Go to http://publish.actahort.org/ishs/mydspace and log in to the system with your own account. You then find "Awaiting Full Text Submissions".
In the DSpace submission guide (can also be found on the left hand side of ISHS DSpace and if you click here), the steps to submit a full paper is described in detail on page 11 onwards. Please follow the steps in detail  in order to submit your full paper before the deadline.
Please use the following filename convention: [Abstract number]-[last name presenting author]- [short title].doc EXAMPLE: 300-van Ieperen-Light and Photosynthesis.doc. Please follow the ISHS guidelines for full papers and have a look at the ISHS sample article as an example.

Your full paper will be reviewed by two members of the scientific committee. You may expect the reviewers comments to be send to you around the middle of March. Afterwards we expect you to eventually correct your paper and send us the latest version of your full paper for publication in Acta Horticulturae.

A maximum of 2 presentations of the same person will be allowed during the symposium.
A book of abstracts
will be available at symposium start.
Acta Horticulturae will be ready and available at symposium start.
