The ISHS submission system is now open for
poster abstracts only. The latest deadline for poster submission will be
June, 1st, 2012. Please submit your poster abstract as MS-Word files and use the following filename convention:
[POSTER]-[focus area number]-[name presenting author]- [short title].doc EXAMPLE: POSTER - 2.1 - Darwin, van Ieperen, W -Light and Photosynthesis.doc
List of focus areas:
1. Manipulation of natural and artificial light in horticultural production systems:
1.1. Light interaction with energy, microclimate, consumer demands, economics
1.2. Light in plant factories and young plant propagation systems
2. Plant and Crop Physiology:
2.1. Light: photosynthesis, morphogenesis, development
2.2. Light: effects on crop growth and production
2.3. Light: interactions with pest and diseases
2.4. Light: postharvest physiology & quality
3. Technological aspects:
3.1. Light manipulation by coverings, nets, screens
3.2. Artificial light sources, LED, other new light sources
3.3. Light emission
3.4. Light measurement methods
Guideline for abstract submission: Abstracts must be submitted via the internet at
http://publish.actahort.org/ishs/handle/123456789/134 . Submitted presentations should not have been presented in any earlier meetings and must be scientifically sound. Abstracts should not exceed 300 words and must follow the abstract guidelines (
ISHS abstract example format attached):
- Use A4 size sheet.
- Margin: top 2.5 cm; bottom 2.5 cm; left 2.5 cm; right 2.5 cm (2.5 cm = 0.984")
- Use 12 points type.
- Underline the presenter.
- Abstract title, 'Keywords' and 'Abstract' should be typed in boldface.
- NOTE: The following filename convention for abstract-files should be used
[ORAL/POSTER]-[focus area number]-[name presenting author]- [short title].doc
EXAMPLE: ORAL - 2.1 - Darwin, van Ieperen, W - Light and Photosynthesis.doc
